If you’re looking to put on a beautifully decorated and delicious spread this Thanksgiving but don’t want to shell out a ton of money, look no further than Dollar General. The bargain-friendly store has everything you need: festive decor, cleaning supplies (necessary for the inevitable messes made while cooking multiple dishes), fresh produce and groceries — all at unbeatable prices.

As much as we prep and plan ahead of time, sometimes things don’t go smoothly. We’ve all been there: The turkey’s in the oven and you realize you forgot to buy that gravy packet. Or you just used up your last stick of butter and now have nothing to smear over those Parker House rolls. If you need to run out and make a trip to pick up any last-minute needs on Thanksgiving, can you count on Dollar General?

Yes, you’re in luck! Dollar General stores in most states plan to be open on Thanksgiving Day, as confirmed by a representative. To be sure, you can always call your local Dollar General or check their website for specific store hours.

If Dollar General happens to be the only store open in your area on Thanksgiving and it’s your first time making a trip, we’ve rounded up some tips to know about the discount store (a big one being that not everything costs $1). Aside from fall decor and key ingredients for your Thanksgiving meal, you should also stock up on these chef-approved pantry staples while you’re there.

Plus, the store recently announced major savings on Thanksgiving grocery items; the offer runs through Thanksgiving Day. Dollar General is offering a buy-two, get-one-free deal on their pumpkin pie, green bean casserole, and sweet potato casserole bundles. Simply buy two of the ingredients from their bundle, and get the third for free! (For example, if you purchase a six-pack of Keebler mini pie crust and a 12-ounce container of evaporated milk, you can snag a free pumpkin purée). This Thanksgiving’s looking a bit sweeter (and cheaper) already.
