This Fourth of July 4, if you find yourself in need of some last-minute supplies for the Tuesday festivities, consider stopping by Dollar General to wrap up that shopping list and potentially save a few bucks in the process. The popular discount retailer has more than 19,000 locations in 47 states, and with the recent changes that the company has implemented, Dollar General is positioning itself to compete in the big-box grocery world. Whether you realize you’re missing a key ingredient for your pasta salad or need some party serveware, Dollar General wants to be your one-stop shop.

So in anticipation of Fourth of July celebrations, the most important question stands: Is Dollar General open on July 4? The short answer: Yes. 

Dollar General will be open with the chain’s regular store hours, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., but we recommend calling your local store before making a run for it. While most locations will likely be following the standard hours of operation, there’s a chance that some locations’ hours may vary. And who wants to drive there only to realize the doors are actually closed?
