Whether your Easter celebrations consist of you heading to church at the crack of dawn or spending the morning preparing to host Easter brunch, there’s always that one thing we happen to forget for the festivities. From that last-minute tube of lipgloss to the brown sugar for that Egyptian Sugared Rolls recipe you’re trying this year, finding yourself scrambling to locate a store that’s open on Easter Sunday never fails. And since many of the larger stores are planning to be closed nationwide, you may be left wondering: Is Dollar General open on Easter this year?

For those who live close to Dollar General locations, it’s easy to see why the store is a go-to option for holiday preparation. Offering up smaller crowds than larger stores like Walmart, but yet still delivering many of the essentials that we all tend to forget, Dollar General can be a one-stop shop for anyone needing to pick up last-minute items for those Easter Egg Blondies or for Easter dinner. So, will you be able to count on the store being open to help you out of that jam?

Thankfully, anyone that’s prone to running out to the store for any last-minute pickups can breathe a sigh of relief this year as Dollar General will be open on Easter Sunday (April 9). And, even better, the store will be operating at regular business hours. Of course though, you’ll want to check in with your local Dollar General to confirm store hours and if the holiday could affect them.

Either way, as the store will be open on Easter, it seems like you’ll be good to go if you forget the tomato paste for this year’s Spicy Sticky Lamb Chops. And that, my friends, is a win worth celebrating.
