Q: I recently purchased a Cuisinart springform pan for my first cheesecake. The ring is dark and the bottom is light, so do I have to adjust the temperature lower by 25 degrees so it does not burn or overcook?

Editor: For most baked goods, lowering the oven temperature is a good idea for dark baking pans, but if you are using a water bath like in our cheesecake recipe, the water will regulate the temperature the cheesecake is cooking at and the darkness of the pan shouldn't be a factor.
