It's a simple and inexpensive material. But we've been using kraft paper at Thanksgiving for ages: starting with brown paper grocery bags cut into fringed vests (do you remember doing that?). Here are a few simple but stylish Thanksgiving tables decorated with kraft paper:

Using brown kraft paper can result in a sophisticated table like image 1 above, or a fun kid's table as seen in image 2. Either way, the material is ideal for do-it-yourself table-setting on a budget. Have a particularly long table for gathering everyone around for the holidays? Even better - buy kraft paper by the roll and it'll stretch on to cover your table for several Thanksgivings!
