Disney-Themed Cereals Are Hitting Shelves and One Tastes Just Like a Birthday Cake
The world’s most famous mouse is about to pull up a chair at your breakfast table. In celebration of Disney’s 100th anniversary (Disney100), Post Consumer Brands is launching two new limited-edition breakfast cereals.
The company, which makes classic cereals like Raisin Bran and Honey Bunches of Oats, will offer a Mickey Mouse head-shaped fruity cereal and a confetti-cake flavored cereal. With boxes emblazoned with some of Disney’s most beloved characters, these are sure to bring a bit of that Disney magic to your mornings (or late nights, if you’re a college student).
For the true Disney aficionado, Post will be offering a $40 collector’s tin shaped like Mickey’s head and filled with the confetti cake cereal. The tins will go on sale later this year, and represent a time capsule of sorts, making it a perfect addition to your Disney memorabilia collection — although you might want to go ahead and eat the cereal before popping the tin on your display shelf.
Disney has long had a place in kitchens across the world. In 2020 (and again this year), a collaboration with Pyrex led to a Mickey Mouse-themed collection of glass storage containers, and Le Creuset launched a Disney-themed line of its famous Dutch ovens in 2019. Disney also released a recipe for making their famous Dole Whip at home, and Disney fans have long shared recipes online recreating some of their treats from Walt Disney World, like the Three-Cheese Grilled Cheese found at Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land. A true treat!
In other Post-related cereal news, the brand has also announced a new style of Pebbles for the first time ever. The new Pebbles Crunch’d promises a more crunchable style of cereal in what the company is calling a new “rockstar” shape. The Crunch’d version of Pebbles will be available in both the Cocoa and Fruity flavors, and can be found on grocery shelves now.
