Deion Sanders Is Selling His Mississippi Farmhouse and It’s Giving Real-Life ‘Yellowstone’ Vibes
In case there were any doubts that Deion Sanders’ whirlwind tenure at Jackson State University has come to an end, the football legend has officially listed the Mississippi home he called his “oasis” for a modest $1.5 million.
Located in the town of Canton (about 27 miles north of Jackson), the 5,346-square foot home is surrounded by 42.24 acres of land and comes equipped with its own lake and barn-turned-guesthouse. The main house boasts five bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and two half baths, making the property perfect for parties or even stay-over guests.
While the listing doesn’t show many photos of the kitchen, it does describe it as a chef’s kitchen featuring a 5-burner stovetop, double ovens, a walk-in pantry, an oversized island, and plenty of built-in storage. The one thing that might catch your attention in the kitchen? The fact that the oversized island is held up by logs.
If that’s not enough to accommodate your high-volume dinner parties, the house also has a full outdoor kitchen in the pool area, which offers additional space for guests via a lounge area complete with a gas fireplace and entertainment area.
While the home is described as a farmhouse, it feels like more of a lake house or mountain retreat, thanks to heavy wood and exposed stone accents throughout the house, including Old Chicago stamped brick pavers in the kitchen, guest baths, and laundry room. Those elements are enhanced by built-in cabinetry in the laundry room, office, and the master suite’s walk-in closet.
As for the secondary structure on the property, not only is the guesthouse a move-in ready, 2 bedroom/1.5 bath apartment, it’s also still a functional barn with a 4-horse capacity stable. Not too shabby for $1.5 million, if you ask me!
