Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders Oikos Super Bowl Ad

If you’re a fan of football, you’ve probably heard the name Deion Sanders mentioned a time or two. Arguably known as the greatest cornerback that the NFL has ever seen, the 14-season-playing, two-time Super Bowl champ has gone on to become a name that cannot be left out if you’re talking about the good ol’ sport of football. And, if you really know anything about Coach Prime — which he’s most notably known as now — you also know he wasn’t too bad of a baseball player, playing for nine seasons before wrapping up his MLB career in 2001.

Though there’s no denying how his showstopping appearance on either field has paved the way for some of your favorite players today, Coach Prime — who now serves as the head coach for the honorable Jackson State University — has also kept busy over the years in many other spaces (let us never forget his iconic 1994 debut single “Must Be the Money“) and most recently, one of those spaces is in the world of food.

In the spirit of Super Bowl 2022, Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders, alongside his incredibly talented son Shedeur and mother, teamed up with his favorite yogurt brand Oikos to show the world who really holds the title as “strongest Sanders of them all.”

While his schedule is usually unforgiving for random moments to chat, the longtime champ (and top-two favorite of my grandmother) graciously gave Kitchn a few moments of his time to dish on all the details of the new Super Bowl ad, his favorite yogurt flavor, go-to breakfast item, all things Florida, and so much more.
