Even though it’s still hot enough to enjoy some time in your outdoor space sipping on a homemade slushie, here at Kitchn we are happily settling into our autumn routines and stocking up on the season’s cooking essentials. So when we found out that one of favorite brands just launched a new, state-of-the-art waffle maker, we clicked “add to cart” immediately! After all, nothing makes fall dreams come true quite like morning waffles, am I right?

The maker features a cool-touch handle, so you can flip the entire iron over and ensure that crispy, golden, crunchy crust is on every surface and crevice of both sides of the waffle. Just pour in your batter, wait for the “flip” light to go on, then turn the whole thing over with a flick of your wrist. The process is “fun,” says this content Amazon reviewer. “That is the best word to describe this waffle maker. I am not sure why flipping the waffle maker aids the cooking process, but I can tell you that the waffles were big and delicious.” While we can’t claim to be waffle-focused food scientists either, we are definitely waffle-eating experts and will gladly accept a plateful of said big, delicious waffles any day.

Complete with a recipe guide and a dishwasher-safe drip tray, the maker has a quick-heating surface that’s covered in a PFOA, TruGlide coating (aka it’ll keep any stray batter bits from getting stuck), so whether you’re whipping up a seasonally inspired recipe or maybe a savory cheesy-potato version, you’ll be snacking on some supremely cooked waffles.

When you’re not using the handy appliance, the cord fits easily in the base and the handle locks, so you can store it vertically and save some precious kitchen real estate — a major plus for my small NYC kitchen, personally. “Fits between appliances on the counter which is nice,” another breakfast-loving customer explained, adding, “Usually when making waffles, the first one doesn’t turn out great: not so with [the Flip]! My first waffle and every one after, perfect!! I keep it on my counter and use it often.” Big and delicious, easy to store, and no funky first waffle?! I’m sold!
