Cup Noodles and HipDot Released a New Line of Ramen-Inspired Makeup and It’s Super Spicy

There’s so many ways to enjoy ramen, from classic noodles and broth on a cold night to a spin on a traditional weeknight stir-fry. But perhaps the most creative take on ramen is to not eat it at all, but to wear it instead.

Nissin Foods’ Cup Noodles is as timeless as a ramen brand can be, and LA-based makeup line HipDot is paying tribute to this classic comfort food with a  limited-edition collection: HipDot x Cup Noodles.

Ramen, of course, is beloved for its savory flavors nestled in a warm, soothing broth, and this new collection picks up those same notes as its inspiration. The hallmark component of this collection is the HipDot x Cup Noodles Collectors Box ($58), which includes a pigment palette, lip/cheek set, powder puff, makeup bag, and a set of chopsticks (hey, you may get hungry after all that playing with makeup!).

Many of these components in the collectors box are also sold individually. Makeup lovers can get the Cup Noodles Pigment Palette ($26) — which has shades like Ramen Noodle, Diced Carrot, Hot & Spicy, Teriyaki, Roasted Corn, Seasoning, Soy Sauce, and Spicy Chile — if they’re looking for something reminiscent of ingredients in a cup or bowl of ramen. The Cup Noodles Lip/Cheek Set of 3 ($22), on the other hand, is a blush and lip duo formula that includes two shades of red and orange as well as an illuminating highlighter. As expected, the shades are reminiscent of what we may use to bring out more flavor in our ramen, such as Lemon, Sesame, and Hot Sauce.

“Cup Noodles recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, and we are so excited to expand our makeup collaboration portfolio with another cult classic, household name in the food space,” said Jeff Sellinger, CEO of HipDot, in a statement to media. “We love to continue creating a world in which food and beauty can exist in one, all the while surprising fans in both industries.”

HipDot is no stranger to creative partnerships, and has previously done collabs with everyone from Peeps to Reeses, and even Tapatio Hot Sauce.
