Do you need to outfit a kitchen quickly? (Or maybe just replace a lot of cookware that's past its prime?) Amazon is having a one-day sale on this eight-piece set from Cuisinart. Typically priced at $365, it's $100 until 12 p.m. Pacific time. The stainless steel set is a great mix of value (the pieces average out to $20 a pop) and quality. You'll definitely be able to use these for years, making it a great starter set for first apartments.

Cookware sets are not something we typically recommend, because they often include pieces you don't need, like multiple pots around the same size, but this one has just what you need (and not much you don't). It comes with a 2.5-quart saucepan, a 4-quart saucepan with helper handle, a 6-quart stockpot, and 8- and 10-inch skillets. And all the pots come with lids, which are oven-safe to 350°F. (All the cookware is safe up to 500°F.)

While this set doesn't have every piece of cookware you need for a kitchen, you really just need a few more things to make a complete set. Here's what else you'd need to fully stock your kitchen with cookware that you'd also use in your next few apartments, too.

  • A nonstick skillet: Every kitchen needs a nonstick skillet. (Because, eggs!) This All-Clad set is a great bargain that could last you a lifetime. But at $60, while a great price for the brand, it's not exactly cheap. This Cuisinart 8-inch pan is only $20 and a good size to start with.
  • A Dutch oven: A total one-pot dinner wonder, Dutch ovens are ideal for meals you need to simmer for hours. They're also great for roasts and making bread. The two biggest names in Dutch ovens are Staub and Le Creuset, but Amazon sells some great budget options, like their own from AmazonBasics ($45) and this one from Lodge ($55).
  • A cast iron skillet: While the skillets in this Cuisinart set are oven-safe, they can't do everything a cast iron skillet can. Deep enough to work like a casserole dish, the heavy-duty material is also great for giving food a crispy, tasty crust. And even one under $20 can last you for 100 years if you take care of it. This one from Lodge is only $15.
