Cristiano Ronaldo Is Selling His Posh Manchester Mansion and It’s a Masterpiece in Modern Design
Cristiano Ronaldo has taken his talents to Saudi Arabia and created the opportunity for one lucky millionaire to truly live like a baller. Shortly after leaving Manchester United, the soccer megastar listed the estate he and his family called home while living in North West England and the price is nothing less than luxurious.
The 7-bedroom, 6-bathroom mansion — which is listed for £5,500,000 (about $6.8 million) — sits on 23 acres of land and is described in the official listing as a “masterpiece in modern design.” And with the exterior of the home combining clean geometric lines, large picture frame windows, and slate with the more traditional stone elements of older British structures, it seems like that statement wasn’t just a marketing line designed to grab our attention.
The main entrance features a full glass wall, inviting an abundance of light into the galleried inner hall. Beyond that entrance, however, Ronaldo’s former property could really be considered three homes rolled into one.
The main floor houses four bedrooms, all complete with en-suite bathrooms and walk-in closets. The master suite is distinguished from the other three rooms by the fact that it also boasts its own separate balcony. On the second floor lies a loft-style apartment comprising bedroom number five with all of the same amenities as the downstairs bedrooms, plus its own lounge and study area.
Just across the driveway from the main structure is a standalone two-bedroom guest house featuring two shower rooms, and an open-concept living area illuminated by the same giant windows featured in the main house, that’s also connected to a full kitchen. That latter, however, is just a miniature version of the main house’s kitchen (which we’ll get to shortly).
Back inside the main space, the estate boasts all of the amenities you would imagine Cristiano Ronaldo and his supermodel influencer girlfriend Georgina Rodríguez might require in a home. That includes three separate reception rooms, a cinema room, a wine room, and a study. There’s also what’s described as a leisure suite — which houses an indoor swimming pool, workout room, sauna and six-person jacuzzi.
But what about the space you’re really here to read about? Well, the kitchen is also a “masterpiece in modern design” as it — just like the exterior — incorporates an old-school element, thanks to the exposed brick wall along which the main counter and storage areas are built. A large stainless-steel refrigerator and hooded stove lie along that wall as well, along with a glassed cabinet for housewares.
Opposite the main counter and cabinet, a large slate island offers seating for four and additional storage that includes a wine fridge. The massive centerpiece also houses two ovens, a dishwasher, and sink.
Despite the massive size of the house, the space beyond the kitchen appears surprisingly cozy, with a dining area separated from the family room by a two-sided fireplace; and a breakfast nook extending from the kitchen island to sit directly across from the living room.
The former Ronaldo homestead is nestled in the posh Cheshire neighborhood of Alderley Edge and offers up plenty of room for guests to enjoy time on the other side of the pond.
