Crab-Stuffed Salmon Is a Surprisingly Fuss-Free Dinner
Dinner guests are slowly starting to be a thing again. You might be inside, you might be outside, but that special joy that comes from preparing a wow-inducing dish for friends is coming back this summer, and it’s time to prepare by collecting an arsenal of recipes to impress everyone. Nothing makes people feel special like someone preparing a meal for them that feels fancy and looks wonderful, and the creator of this Cajun crab-stuffed salmon, Jocelyn Delk Adams, says this dish is “beyond elegant without being super fussy to make.”
Adams, the blogger behind Grandbaby Cakes, is known for her baking, but shows off her savory chops here, saying “When I want to impress, this dish goes on the table without a doubt.” The ingredient list is long, but the prep turns out to be pretty quick. You start by making the filling out of crab meat, shallots, Cajun seasoning, butter, garlic, crackers, mayonnaise, and hot sauce. Then you simply slit open the salmon, add the filling, and bake it for about 20 minutes. A quick hit on the broiler, and it’s ready to come out and serve. “I love all of the wonderful textures and flavors in the filling that offset that tender moist salmon,” says Adams. And it offers and easy way to slide back into entertaining with an easy, elegant dish that will make all your guests happy.
