Are you planning a getaway this summer? I just moved, alas, so my summer will probably be spent setting up my new place. Since I won’t be escaping to the country anytime soon, I went searching for a little vacation inspiration — a little cabin inspiration, to be exact.

Whether by a lake, in the woods, or atop a mountain, cabins are just so cozy, aren’t they? I love scoping out the kitchens, too — they’re rustic and homey, and often have great small space ideas. After all, cabin life usually necessitates stripping everything down to the basics. What do you really need for a week or two in the mountains? You don’t have room for all those electric gadgets and kitchen tools. How can you hang your pots to save a little space, or best store those few dinner plates and glasses? These ten cabins may offer a little inspiration!
