The Single Best Thing on Sale This Month at Costco
January is already proving to be a weird month. At least at Costco it is. Usually, we’d round up all the best sales for the month, but after browsing through the site, we decided there was really only one thing worth calling out. Most of the deals are on cabinets (save 25 percent on semi-custom cabinets!) furniture (barstools!), and other seriously random finds.
The one thing worth writing home about? The Vitamix S30 Personal Blender.
From now until January 21, Costco members (and yes, you have to be a member and logged into the site to get the deal) can save $100 on this Vitamix. With the discount, the personal blender comes down to just $200. That’s a steal, considering it’s $330 on Vitamix’s site and Amazon currently only has used ones from third-party sellers.
The powerful blender base comes with a 20-ounce container (hence, the “personal” part of this Personal Blender), and it also comes with a 40-ounce container, which is big enough for family-sized blending jobs. And it comes with a recipe book to help you get familiar with your new high-powered blender.
Associate Food Editor Meghan Splawn saw this sale and instantly said she wanted to take advantage of it: “This personal-sized Vitamix seems perfect for a small kitchen, as it is about half the size and height of it’s full-size counterpart,” she says. “The smoothie container would be ideal for making daily smoothies without dirtying a regular blender carafe, and the slightly smaller-than-usual carafe would make quick work of small-batch soups or hummus for my small family.”
