U.S. Costco Fans Just Found Out What the Bakery Section at Locations in the U.K. Look Like, and Everyone Is Losing It

As a true to life example of a one-stop shop superstore, Costco really does provide it all. From eye doctors and auto technicians to groceries and home goods, there’s not too much that you really can’t get your hands on within the walls of the store. But the true hidden gem is their bakery section. 

While Costco shoppers are no strangers to all that U.S.-based warehouses have to offer in the coveted section, if you’ve ever wondered whether those items expand to other locations in areas around the globe, today’s your lucky day. And you can thank the popular Instagram account, @CostcoFans. 

The account, which showcases all things Costco-related, revealed seven new desserts hitting locations in the U.K. that have stateside fans contemplating a move across the pond. So what can you expect if you’re heading anywhere near the area soon? Well, according to fans, it’s much better than what you get here in the United States.

The new lineup consists of Belgian Chocolate Shortbread, a variety pack of Filled Mini Pastries, Red Velvet Cake (which you may have spotted at your local Costco), Fresh Cream Mini Victoria Sandwiches, Profiteroles Dessert, Victoria Sandwich Cake, and Mini Chocolate Hazelnut Beignets. And while these all sound amazing, the one that really seems to take the cake amongst fans are the Mini Chocolate Hazelnut Beignets.

“I live in London and tried the hazelnut beignets the other day — they are a ‘new addition’ compared to the other desserts that have been there for a while. I can confirm they are possibly the softest and most comforting food ever 😍 10/10,” one commenter wrote.

“Oh heck no … now I’ve gotta add ‘Find flights to all countries in Europe with Costcos’ to my bucket list?” said another, while someone else pointed out, “We are getting shafted at our Costcos in the USA! I love all of these!!” 

Although each of the treats sound and look amazing, sadly they are not currently offered in the Costco stores here in the U.S. … yet. But if you’re not quite ready to hop on a plane and take a trip across the pond, don’t worry — there’s still hope for anyone looking to satisfy their sugar cravings. Costco’s Macaron Brownies and Thin Mint-flavored pretzels, can be found in Costco locations throughout North America.
