Thanksgiving is almost here, which means it is time to start making plans for what is, for many, the biggest holiday feast of the year. If you’re planning on hosting a massive gathering of your nearest and dearest this Thanksgiving, there is no better place to shop for everything you need than Costco. The grocery store carries, well, basically everything, from patio furniture to poultry, and in large quantities. As you start to make your Thanksgiving meal prep shopping list (after perusing all of our reader-favorite recipes, of course) you’ll want to consider this year’s Costco Thanksgiving hours to ensure you don’t miss your chance to buy everything you need for Turkey Day.

What Are Costco’s Thanksgiving Hours?

Costco is open almost every day of the year, but there are a few exceptions and Thanksgiving Day happens to be one of the days they are closed. This year, Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 23, so those who intend to tackle their holiday grocery shopping at the big box retailer will want to be sure to do so in advance of the holiday.

Luckily, Costco is open the day before Thanksgiving and will reopen its warehouse doors the day after the holiday, just in time for Black Friday. This year, Costco’s Black Friday sales are already in full swing, having started on November 13, but the biggest and best deals will roll out the day after Thanksgiving and run through the end of the weekend. Even though Costco’s warehouses will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, the store’s website will offer excellent online-only deals that you won’t want to miss.

Not sure where to start with your Costco Thanksgiving shopping list? Consider Costco’s Fresh Gourmet Crispy Onions (a green bean casserole essential), an assortment of incredible desserts, and a roasting pan for your turkey while you’re at it. Alternatively, if you’re not a fan of cooking, let Costco handle the Thanksgiving meal prep; order Thanksgiving dinner to-go and spend even more time with your loved ones this holiday season.
