Costco never does anything small and simple. No, the beloved bulk chain is the embodiment of “go big or go home.” And Costco’s loyal shoppers are absolutely obsessed with this mentality: Remember the 7-pound tub of Nutella basically tailor-made for hungry families? Or the even bigger 27-pound tub of macaroni and cheese, with a shelf life of two decades? Apocalypse preppers, that’s for you. Well Costco is about to outdo itself, because it now stocks an epic 7-pound lobster claw. Yeah, you’re going to need a bigger cart.

As USA Today reports, Costco shoppers (most of them in California) have been showing off the lobster claws, which range in size from three to seven pounds, on Instagram. One woman who stumbled upon the monstrosity commented “I hope we have enough butter.”

While some of the lobster claws seem to come from the seafood counter, others come pre-packaged and carry the Kirkland brand label. One of those, which weighs in at nearly 5 pounds, will cost you around $47 dollars. More inclined to dine on the entire lobster? Costco also sells a six-pack of live Maine lobsters for $129. So if you’re throwing any super swanky dinner parties (but you’re still on a budget) that’s one deal you might want to keep in mind.

I know it’s not quite summer yet, but I’m already fantasizing about all the juicy meat hiding under the shell, waiting to hit the grill on a sunny day. It does seem a little early to roll the grill out of the garage, but consider these lobster claws your official permission to at least start daydreaming about it — unless you live in California, and can actually get your hands on one of course.

By the way, these lobster claws are so big, I’m extra curious to see the lobsters they came from. Apparently there are mega-lobsters roving the ocean floor in California.
