Although getting groceries delivered is one of the things I’ll gladly spend money on so I can save time for my family of seven, every once in a while, I like to go see what’s in store at Costco. I especially like to do this as the seasons change, so I can see what budget-friendly seasonal items are in stock. And I was in for a treat on my last trip.

I went on one of these “perusal trips” last week and was instantly drawn to a beautiful and functional seasonal piece that I know will make our summer (and year-round!) run much more smoothly: this 7-piece melamine lazy Susan that’s back in stock and on sale for only $19.99 in-store. It first hit shelves back in March, and I was so ecstatic to see that it came back after selling out almost instantly! Made for serving, this lazy Susan is a great addition to all the other kinds of lazy Susans that are perfect for countertop storage, pantry storage, and even fridge organization

Thanks to the durable melamine, the 15-inch lazy Susan can be used safely indoors or out, and has smart and convenient features that make it perfect for summer entertaining. It comes in two colorways, white and black, and blue and black, and the intricate decorative design makes it look like a fancy pottery piece. With a center bowl and five removable sections that go around it, you can use it to portion out several different types of snacks and bites, or use it as a chips and dip server. It would also be perfect for taco toppings or s’mores! It’s large enough to feed a crowd without having to do perpetual refills and the whole thing is dishwasher-safe.

Three of the best features of this lazy Susan, though, I didn’t even notice until I brought it home. First, it has an eighth piece: a lid — a total game-changer! It means I can fill it up before the bustle of snack time or my guests’ arrival, and set it aside without having to worry about food getting stale (or, worse, pests take notice). I can also stock it with refrigerated items, top it with the lid, and stick the whole thing in the fridge to help prep go more smoothly. The lid also means I can bring my stocked lazy Susan to gatherings that aren’t at my house!

In addition to the lid, the lazy Susan has four flat plastic feet on the bottom that keep it from sliding around. The piece will sit securely on the counter or table while a bunch of hands (many of them children’s hands!) reach for snacks, keeping messes to a minimum. Lastly – and I know this should be obvious from its name, but it didn’t click until I used it for the first time — the piece spins! Everyone can pick out what they want without having to reach over everything else or asking anyone to pass anything.

I’ve already loaded my brand new hosting staple with goodies for today’s after-school snack, and I can’t wait to use it for the summer! With so many brilliant features, I know this piece will be used year-round for years to come, on special days for entertaining, but on the regular days, too. It’s such a great Costco find, and I’m so glad I picked it up before it’s gone!
