10 Costco Finds That’ll Help You Finally Start Meal Prepping
Meal prepping is one of those things that many of us want to do. The issue is just finding the time to actually do it. Thankfully, we’ve done most of the hard part, crafting up plenty of efficient Power Hour Meal Prep Plans. While working on all of these, we’ve also found that having the right tools can make all the difference. We’re talking prepping your veggies and then actually being able to store them. Seems important, right? This is where Costco comes in!
The warehouse store has an array of amazing, high-quality products to help you with prep, storage, and more. With these helpful kitchen finds, you’ll not only be on your way to finally start meal prepping, but you may also even start looking forward to it each week!
1. Nordic Ware 3-Piece Baking Sheet Set, $17
These baking sheets are the perfect Costco buy to make roasted veggies (like sweet potatoes, winter squash, Brussels sprouts, and more) while you prep the rest of your foods. Roasted veggies are key to better lunches, heartier salads, and even quick weeknight dinners. And honestly, we find they only get better (sweeter!) as they sit in the fridge for a couple of days.
2. Pyrex Glass Mixing Bowl Set, $25
It’s a proven fact that if people have salad ingredients ready to go in the fridge, they’re more likely to actually eat a salad. These mixing bowls with storage lids can help! Rinse, wash, and dry your greens and put them in the larger bowls with the lids, and keep cut veggies and fruits (such as strawberries, carrots, and cucumbers) in the smaller bowls. Then all you have to do is grab and go when you’re ready to mix up a salad with dinner or even eat some fruit for a quick snack. We also like using the smaller bowls for pre-made lunches and the bigger ones for large dinner entrées!
3. Cuisinart 13-Cup Professional Food Processor, $150
A high-quality food processor that can do multiple jobs (faster than you can with a knife) will be a life-saver. Slice, dice, mix, and blend fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, or anything you can imagine in this top-notch food processor by Cuisinart, one of the top brands.

4. Nutribullet Balance Smart Blender, $100
While you might not want to start making smoothies ahead of time, you can prep all your ingredients so that they’re ready when you need them. (See: Here’s How to Master Your Morning with Smoothie Kits.) Then, you just have to pull one out and blend it up in this little guy. Blend and go!
5. Snapware BPA-Free Plastic Containers, $25 for 38-piece set
Plastic containers can be hit or miss (the staining! The leaking!), but this set from Snapware is legit. The pieces are made from high-quality BPA-free plastic that resists stains and the lids snap into place, so there’s no risk of leakage. Plus, they’re color-coded, so you’ll always grab the right lid.
6. Snapware 18-Piece Pyrex Glass Container Set, $24
If you prefer glass containers, go with this Snapware-Pyrex collaboration. It comes with several different sizes and just like the plastic version, this set contains colorful lids and a high-quality airtight snap design.
7. Neoflam Clean Chop 3-Piece Cutting Board Set, $17
The biggest problem we spot when we watch people meal prep is that they don’t use a large-enough cutting board. (Then they struggle to find space to work and pile ingredients.) This set comes with three different options, so you can size-up as needed. The edging helps keep the boards in place and the handles make it so you can easily swipe ingredients into a pot or pan.
8. FoodSaver Automatic Vacuum Sealer System, $140
A vacuum sealer is one of those things that you don’t think you need … until you finally have one, and then you wonder how you ever lived without it. See, vacuum sealing is the best way to prevent nutrient loss in foods as you freeze and store them over time. Vacuum sealing can also make food taste fresher when you go to eat it and allow it to stay in storage longer. The FoodSaver brand is the best on the market, which makes this a steal of a deal at Costco!
9. Pyrex 8-Piece Glass Container Set, $18
Maybe you don’t need a ton of new containers? Take a look at this smaller 8-piece glass container set from Pyrex. You can make pre-made batches of oatmeal in just minutes in the microwave with the smaller bowls and use the larger bowls to bake smaller items in the oven (without the lids, of course). Or, use them to pack lunches for the week.
10. Instant Pot 6-Quart Duo SV, $70
This is the latest version of the Instant Pot to hit Costco stores, and it’s a must-buy for a few reasons. For starters, the price is great — coming in at just $70 — and this model features a sous vide feature, which gives you an extra function that many other Instant Pots don’t have. The 6-quart model is also the perfect size for almost any kitchen, and with nine different functions, there’s hardly any task this pot can’t do for you when it comes to meal prep tasks.
