Costco’s New “Absolutely Amazing” Potatoes Are Flying Off Shelves

As the weather begins to cool around much of the country, a lot of us are starting to segue from ice cream and frozen drinks to comforting foods, such as soups, stews, and our favorite potato sides.

While mashed potatoes are always a crowd-favorite, there’s always a way to take even that pleasure up a notch. That would be loaded mashed potatoes. This upgrade on traditional mashed potatoes takes all the toppings you may see on a baked potato, from bacon to cheese to scallions and sour cream, and blends them right into the mash. 

This spin on mashed potatoes is a crowd-pleaser, but of course it’s a bit more work than a traditional batch of potatoes. So it’s rather welcome if there’s a delicious way of having all that work done for you!

The Instagram account @costcohotfinds, which shares new finds in the aisles of Costco, recently posted about a new starchy side find just in time for the cooling weather and holiday season. “Loaded Mashed Potatoes at Costco!!! This is screaming comfort food!! These are brand new to Costco and made with Yukon gold potatoes, Kirkland Signature butter, Kirkland Signature bacon, shredded Parmesan cheese, mozzarella and sour cream. They’re creamy and simply delicious!” read the caption on the Instagram Reel.

The Loaded Mashed Potatoes are priced per pound, at $3.49 a pound. But the package in the video is around four pounds of potatoes, which would run a little over $12. So, it’ll be a hefty serving meant for sharing (or a lot of leftovers!).

These Loaded Mashed Potatoes are sure to be quite the hit this holiday season when paired with roast turkey and all the fixings — so make sure you get some before they sell out!
