Costco Just Dropped a Chocolate Dessert That Shoppers Say They “Definitely Need”

One of the best parts about childhood was hearing the sound of the ice cream truck heading down your street during the summer months. You likely dropped what you were doing and ran to the nearest adult, asking for a few dollars to get your hands on a sweet and cold treat. Whether you were a fan of the beloved Choco Taco, a loyal advocate for Good Humor Bars, or always opted for a Firecracker, many of us likely recall Klondike’s Oreo Ice Cream sandwich, a dessert that only ever seemed to come from the ice cream man — and you probably haven’t gotten a taste of one in years.

Well, if we have officially caused an Oreo ice cream craving, Costco is now selling an item reminiscent of the original Klondike treat that has members feeling like a kid again. Spotted by Instagram account @costcobuys, the bulk retailer is now selling a 24-pack of Oreo Ice Cream Sandwiches — big Oreo wafer sandwich cookies and creamy ice cream, perfect for both Oreo and ice cream lovers. (Let’s face it: That’s most of us.) Each box is currently retailing for $19.89.

However, if you can’t find these at Costco or they are sold out at your local warehouse, other retailers seem to have stocked their freezers with the frozen dessert like Target and Walmart, just in smaller boxes. 

“Seriously our new favorite ice cream sandwich. Please never discontinue this!” wrote one reviewer. “These are probably one of my fave ice cream sandwiches ever!! If you love regular Oreos then you will definitely love these as well!!” said another ice cream enthusiast.
