You Can Now Buy Costco’s Wildly Popular Frozen Cocktails at Aldi
If it feels like summer never existed because you’ve been inside wrangling toddlers and trying to figure out how you can aim your computer’s camera so that your coworkers don’t see the smoothie you somehow launched onto the wall this morning, well, you are not alone. The carefree barbecues with friends, big family vacations, and other outdoor freedoms the season usually bring have disappeared with the pandemic, but that doesn’t mean you should still celebrate the sunshine. And Aldi has joined the same bandwagon that Costco was previously on by helping make it even easier, with frozen cocktails.
As we reported last year, Costco sells Claffey’s Frozen Cocktails, which are basically adult versions of the classic Otter Pop. Now, Aldi is selling them as well, reports SheKnows. The alcoholic Popsicles come in six flavors: “Ice Blue” raspberry (berry naughty, tastes berry nice), “Modern Mango” (tropical paradise goes where the party is), “Purple Party” (grown-up grape, tastes great), “Grab Apple” (crisp, tart green, and ready to be seen), “Cherry Lips” (tasty cherry, kissably yummy), and “Pink Lemonade” (bold flavor smacks you in the smacker).
You’re unlikely to get wasted on these wine-based treats — they are less than half as strong as a glass of wine and about a third smaller — so you’d need three to get the same amount of booze. But they are also only 90 calories apiece, so you just might have the stomach space, if you can handle the sugar! If you’re already buying them at Costco, you might not want to switch to Aldi, where a 12-pack runs you $18.95, rather than $17.99, but if you don’t have a Costco membership, this is way better than the $24 you’d spend at Walmart. Or, if you’re not near any of those, you can get them online for $21.99 a box.
