Everyone loves Costco, but for some people, the warehouse stores are more than just a place to buy life’s necessities — they’re a lifestyle. These are the kind of people who spent the pandemic creating fake sample experiences for their children, who keep a “Costco” door in their pantry, and who make sure even their dog gets to experience the unbridled joy of the Costco food court. And if you know one of them (or are one yourself) there is only one thing you should be getting them as a gift this year: the Kirkland Signature logo sweatshirt.

You can find the cotton, unisex sweatshirts online for just $20, and they come in either classic gray or white, with the logo in black and red. Can’t you just imagine the warehouse diehard in your life curled up on the couch in this cozy sweater with a bottle of Kirkland Signature wine and a big tub of Kirkland Signature super extra-large peanuts? You could also pair it with one of their equally soft joggers (not branded, unfortunately) and really lean into the uniform of 2020.

When Costco recently posted the gift idea on Instagram, the photo received more than 1,000 comments. Many people asked if they’re available to buy in stores (no, but they’re working on changing that), and if they come in hoodies instead of crewneck (no, unfortunately not). Most people were extremely excited about the idea, but a couple of people pointed out that this is essentially free advertising for the brand. “You should pay us to wear it,” one commenter said. But hey, when you love a brand as much as many people love Costco, it’s fine to let that slide.

In a year when gift giving is made harder by the fact that few people have gotten to spend quality time with their friends and family and most people have spent significant time inside in their sweatpants and sweatshirts, Costco really came through with a gift for the times.
