There are those who love Costco, and then there are those who really love Costco. You know the type. They’re a part of all the secret Costco Facebook groups, they’re constantly tracking #costco on Instagram, and they’re always telling you the incredible deals they received at their favorite grocery store. And then there are the Costco fans that go above and beyond with Costco97.

Unaffiliated with Costco, Costco97 is a website that tracks and shares Costco deals, especially those that Costco hasn’t advertised itself. It’s a place for wholesale club evangelists and deal-hunters to scope out sale offerings before making the drive to their local store. How useful does that sound!

But wait, let’s back up: Why the name Costco97? The site explains, “Any product sold at Costco that has a price that ends in .97 is one that is on clearance and probably won’t be sold again in the store once sold out. Costco does not advertise these sales and they vary from store to store and region to region.” It should be noted that Costco also uses an asterisk on its price tags to slyly indicate when a product is probably not returning

Costco97 gets its intel from Costco shoppers around the country. (You, too, can spread the word about deals you find in-store here.) And, along with posting shoppers’ finds online, Costco97 sends out thrice-weekly newsletters to subscribers so you stay up-to-date on the latest .97 finds.

The website also includes other resources for Costco fans, including a clearance calendar that maps the sale patterns of seasonal products, and other tips for saving money. Costco97’s social media accounts appear not to have been updated past mid-2019, but the site itself still features deals from as recently as today.
