I love treasure hunting at Costco. As many devoted shoppers know, it’s easy to find unbeatable deals, like that giant box of cereal the whole family will love or a set of food-saving storage containers, which will save you even more money in the long run.

On a recent trip to Costco, I stopped in my tracks when I saw a Soft Scrub and Scrub Daddy set. A two-pack of the versatile and powerful cleaners was only $9.99! I love Scrub Daddy. (It doesn’t have a loyal following for nothing!) But with one sponge costing $4 a pop, they’re a tad expensive for how fast I go through them. Similarly, Soft Scrub, a popular, multipurpose household cleaner, normally hovers around $4 per bottle. Two Scrub Daddy sponges plus two containers of Soft Scrub was way too good of a deal to pass up, so into my cart it went!

Here's the display that stopped me in my tracks.

I was so excited to bring my new set home and get to work, cleaning different things in my kitchen. Soft Scrub and Scrub Daddy are a match made in cleaning heaven. Here’s why: Soft Scrub is great for non-abrasive scrubbing on tough jobs, and using it with a Scrub Daddy only adds to its cleaning power.

If you’re unfamiliar with Scrub Daddy sponges, they’re firm in cold water and more malleable in hot water, so you can control their stiffness based on your cleaning needs. They’re wildly efficient scrubbers, and they’re easy to clean after each use. (No hidden bits of food like with traditional sponges.)

What a good deal! This combo set is only $9.99.

If you spot this set in your Costco, I highly suggest picking it up. I’ll even tell you how I’ve been using my new power couple cleaning set! These are a few things I’ve cleaned so far.

1. Burnt-on, greasy messes inside pans

I had a pan left over from breakfast that was caked in dried sausage grease and remnants. I set to work with Soft Scrub and the Scrub Daddy, and it cleaned up in a snap!

2. Burnt-on messes on the outside of pans

My pans are very well-used and the days when I kept the outside of them pristine are long gone. I tried my new combo set on this caked-on grime that I’ve learned to live with, and while it didn’t remove it completely, it made a significant difference. A few more dedicated sessions, and I could get my pan nice and fresh again.

3. Grimy sinks

I clean out my sink with Bar Keepers Friend nightly, but using Soft Scrub and the Scrub Daddy took the cleanliness to another level. I could see dirt come up when I scrubbed the inside rims of the drains, even though I clean them regularly!

4. A cloudy blender container

I’ve struggled with cloudy blender containers and because my container was sitting out to dry as I cleaned my sink, I decided to grab it and see how Soft Scrub and Scrub Daddy would work on the stubborn film. I had to work to get the Scrub Daddy into the grooves, but the cloudiness melted away. I was completely impressed!

5. A coffee-stained mug

I have a favorite coffee mug with just the right heft, shape, and handle. But it’s been plagued with coffee stains for a while now, and that’s just not appetizing. The magic of the Scrub Daddy with Soft Scrub erased them in seconds.
