It’s no secret that Costco’s bakery items are some of our favorites here at Kitchn. Whether it’s their famous chocolate chip ricotta or their beloved pumpkin pie that leaves us thinking about it all year long, it’s easy to find a dessert that just hits the spot. And we have a feeling these new pastries will also be making our grocery list.

Instagram account @costcosisters — run by two sisters in Los Angeles — posted about the new cherry and cheese pastry hitting Costco locations in a Reel with the following caption: “Sometimes you just have to open it in the parking lot!” With almost 90,000 views, the video has people already planning their next trip to Costco.

The cherry and cheese pastries, which are available in packs of six for $9.99, are described as having the perfect amount of filling. In the video, one of the sisters holds up the golden-brown pastry before breaking it down the middle to reveal the bright-red cherry and cream cheese filling. One viewer who already tried the pastries says, “These are so so good! The filling tastes like cheesecake.”

Here in New York City, we’ve had a few weeks of cloudy winter mornings and even though a pastry can’t solve all of our troubles, it sounds like the perfect way to start the day. Per @costcosisters’ recommendation, warm it up in the oven or air fryer for a few minutes and enjoy with a cup of coffee or chai.

Maybe next up, a guava and cream cheese version? We can only hope!
