It’s officially my favorite time of the year: Advent calendar season. And with this beautiful time of year also comes the return of one of my favorites: The Bonne Maman Christmas Advent calendar from Costco (which originally sold out in July when it went on sale for pre-order!).

This beloved calendar is usually sold in a version with 24 mini jars of different jams and spreads, but Costco has a mini version this year with 12 jars for only $15.99! It’s such a great deal and makes the perfect gift for a friend, colleague, or secret santa. To put the price in perspective, a full sized 13-ounce jar of Bonne Maman preserves will usually set you back about $7. If you’re a Bonne Maman newbie and want to try out different flavors before committing to buying an entire jar, this is a great option.

Bonne Maman was founded in a small village in the southwest of France and uses inspiration from family recipes, along with local fruits, to create its line of jams and jellies, according to its website. In fact, the company’s name actually translates to grandmother or granny in French, as most of the ingredients used in Bonne Maman products can be found in “your Grandmother’s kitchen.” The French company has also ventured into other products, like teas and, most recently, hazelnut chocolate spread (YUM!).

The mini 12 Days of Christmas Advent calendar features delicious limited-edition spread flavors, like caramel with coffee, cherry with honey, raspberry with rose, and purple fig with cinnamon — all of which sound magical spread over a piece of sourdough toast while drinking a hot coffee on a chilly winter morning. Plus, each jam included is free of high-fructose corn syrup, preservatives, or added color.

Not a Costco Member? Don’t Worry …

If you haven’t invested in a Costco membership yet (which I would highly recommend, as they have so many great deals and products for the holiday season!), you can also purchase the calendar on Amazon for a few dollars more. Target also has a slightly different version that features eight different mini jars of preserves, jams, and jellies for $15.89, which is also a steal.

So hurry and run to your nearest Costco — because this calendar makes such a sweet gift for a loved one, friend, or even as a self-care treat (I’m a big believer in treating yourself!). What could be sweeter?
