Costco Just Brought Back Two Giant Fall Desserts and People Are Rushing to Find Them
Starbucks is finally serving its signature Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Labor Day weekend just went by, and the sweet, crisp smell of fall is swirling in the air. Of course, Costco had to mark the season with two giant autumnal desserts: a delicious pumpkin pie and the classic apple pie.
Costco’s Giant Pies Are Perfect for Fall
Fall is prime time for pumpkin picking — if Costco hasn’t already plucked them all off the vines! The pumpkin pie, which was recently spotted in stores for the first time this season, weighs in at just under four pounds (which, for reference, is about the same weight as a standard MacBook Air). To put it plainly, that’s a lot of pie. The best part? It only costs $5.99. From previous years, we know it’s bursting with cinnamon and nutmeg, with a wonderfully buttery, flaky crust, so it’s definitely an excellent deal. Pick one up this week to enjoy at home with your family, or freeze it for Thanksgiving.
It’s also the best time of year for apple picking, which is why apple-flavored treats abound. Straight out of Costco’s bakery, the double-crust apple pie is made from fresh organic apples, lots of cinnamon for the perfect amount of spice, and a deliciously flaky crust. Best of all — and perhaps even more shocking than its weight — is that you can bring home this sweet treat for the incredibly low price of $12.99. To make the deal even sweeter, serve it with vanilla ice cream for some decadent apple pie a la mode.
While you’re at Costco, be sure to pick up some Halloween decorations (that double as dessert) to start getting into the spooky spirit. Not a Costco member yet? Now might be the time to join — especially if you’re a big fan of apple pie.
