It’s time to grab the sunscreen and the novelty pool floats, because summer party season has officially started. Costco’s boozy, 100-calorie vodka ice pops are back for the summer, and it’s time to have some fun.

These boozy popsicles from Slim Chillers are called Skinny Freezers, and they’re basically Freeze Pops for grown-ups. They’re long plastic tubes full of sweet, frozen cocktails with about 8 percent alcohol. Everyone who sees them is going to want to try them — even if just for the novelty of it.

According to the Slim Chillers website, these plastic tubes of pink and yellow ice also contain “premium 8-times distilled, charcoal filtered vodka.” You could freeze them and squeeze the contents into a martini glass if you wanted to be classy about it, but for the ultimate in throwback childhood nostalgia, you’re going to want to suck the ice cocktail directly from the tube while trying to avoid a brain freeze.

Each individual 100-milliliter Slim Chiller equates to about half a standard drink, according to the National Institutes of Health. So they aren’t extremely strong, but they’re stiff enough that you’ll know the alcohol is there.

Slim Chillers come in four flavors: Appletini, Lemon Drop, Watermelon Lemonade, and Cosmopolitan. Costco is selling variety packs with all the flavors — which could be great, unless you find yourself trying to race through the good flavors before your friends take them all and leave you stuck with Watermelon. (Or with whichever one you don’t like. Personally I think Lemon Drop and Cosmopolitan sound like the winners.)

The variety packs are now available in select Costco stores in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Colorado. If your Costco doesn’t have them, you can buy Skinny Freezers at BevMo or other liquor stores, or online in single-flavor 12 packs, although they appear to be in high demand at the moment.

Would you try these frozen vodka ice pops?
