In a Cooking Rut? Change How the Food Is Served

Even the most creative cooks get into habits of using the same vegetables, the same spices, and the same preparations again and again. They're familiar, quick, and easy. And can also get very boring. If you don't have the energy to master a new recipe but need something different, try playing with how it's served. Here's what we mean...

Stir-fried rice and vegetables verses veggie burrito, pasta with sauce verses pasta salad, a slice of layer cake verses a cupcake...Get the picture?! These are dishes that use the same basic ingredients, but when you put a twist on how they're shaped, baked, or assembled, they feel like something completely different.

Often, just serving the food in a new way is enough to make it interesting again! Do you have any tricks like this to keep you going when food gets boring?
