The Best $20 I Ever Spent on My Fridge
We don’t buy much for our fridges, right? I mean, we buy fancy cheeses and meats to put in them, but we rarely come home from the store with a special treat that’s for the fridge — and not for our tummies. Well, a few weeks ago I did and, let me just tell you, I’m not sure who’s happier now: me or my fridge.

Ever since my husband and I realized that Aldi is the best place to find inexpensive LaCroix, we’ve had a lot of LaCroix around. (Funny how that works.) We buy them in packs of 15 at a time and then, without fail, one shelf in our fridge would become this total disaster area. Sometimes the whole box of LaCroix made it into the fridge; other times it was just the cans, which would inevitably get knocked over or have stuff piled on top (or both).
Then, the other week, I bought this plastic number for $20. It only holds nine cans, but I figured we could fill it up and either line up the remaining six cans next to it or on top of it. I was right!
When I say this is the best $20 I’ve ever spent on my fridge, this is not an exaggeration. It’s clear so we can always see how many cans are left. And it comes with a removable top tray for additional storage space. Sometimes, we take the tray off and stack even more cans on top. Or we pop it on and stand up cans or throw packs of string cheese (or what have you) on top. The point is, we can load it up and still get cans out without knocking things over.
Although I know that $40 would be a lot to spend on fridge accessories, I’m actually thinking about buying a second container for those times when we stock up on two different flavors of LaCroix.
