Ben Blake loves coffee. No, he really loves it—so much, in fact, that he's begun documenting his coffee journey through sketches and narratives, all hand-drawn on coffee filters. His website Draw Coffee showcases his doodles on roasting companies, brewing methods, events, and anything else tangentially related to coffee, from Jeni's Ice Cream in Columbus, Ohio to the World Barista Championship in Vienna, Austria (he dedicates a filter to the winner, Paul Rodas). "Coffee inspires creativity," he says - and we can see how!

Ben's love affair with coffee started in college, as he tells Cool Hunting, but it wasn't until years later that he started Draw Coffee as a way to keep track of and share what he'd begun learning about coffee.

I have experienced a community full of passionate and creative individuals who love coffee. I've been welcomed with open arms by so many people--the drawing thing helped, obviously, but people are so willing to teach and share about coffee. It's exciting, and I think it's contagious.

In addition to his own filter drawings, Ben is now doing a number of commissioned side projects with roasters and other coffee companies, so you may see him pop up at your own local coffee place!
