There are some ideas out there that are just so wacky they work. Take these churro tater tots, for example. You toss freshly fried tater tots into a cinnamon-sugar mixture and serve them with a dulce de leche dipping sauce. They’re warm, salty, and sweet — betcha can’t eat just one!

Have you ever made your own dulce de leche? It’s actually really easy, thanks to an ingenious hack. All you have to do is submerge a can of sweetened condensed milk in water, bring it to a boil, and then let it simmer for about two hours. Once the can is cooled, open it to find thick, luscious dulce de leche inside.

The dulce de leche is the perfect accompaniment to the churro tater tots; a sprinkling of flaky Maldon salt on top really seals the deal.
