‘Tis the season for all things sweets and decadent treats… and today we thought we’d share one of our favorite recipes. This Christmas cowboy cookie recipe is so basic, but an easy go-to if you’re wanting to try your hand at baking something homemade this season. It comes in two versions, and is sure to rock your face off. Perfect for any gathering and home made to boot! Baking is so therapeutic sometimes, we thought we’d share. So without further ado, this Christmas cowboy cookie recipe!
The first version has chocolate chips, and the next has white chocolate and Craisins. Both versions are oh so wonderful and today we’re sharing the recipe!

Christmas Cowboys Cookie Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 cup
softened butter
- 1 cup
white sugar
- 1 cup
packed brown sugar
- 2 cups
all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp
baking powder
- 1 tsp
baking soda
- 1/2 tsp
salt
- 2
eggs
- 1 tsp
vanilla extract
- 2 cups
rolled oats
Optional
- 1 bag
semi-sweet chocolate morsels or a combo of white chocolate morsels and Craisins, depending on the version of cookies you want to make
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees and set aside baking sheets (greased or with foil).
Mix the ingredients. In a large bowl, mix the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Add rolled oats. Add your flavored morsels of choice.
As soon as the mix is well incorporated, form uniform dollops with a spoon and place onto baking sheets, leaving ample room for the cookies to expand when baking.
Bake for around 10 minutes, and remove them once the cookies are set but not burnt.
Transfer cookies to a cooling rack and allow them to cool before serving.
