After two wildly successful iterations of her cookbook, Cravings, model and actress Chrissy Teigen is set to release her third — Cravings: All Together: Recipes to Love — on October 26. If you can’t wait to start whipping up her delicious recipes, we’ve got amazing news for you: She just dropped the first recipe, a quiche Lorraine cooked inside of a hollowed-out, crusty, crunchy baguette. Drooling yet?

In a Cravings email this morning, Teigen told subscribers this quiche Lorraine baguette is one of her all-time favorite recipes — and judging by the looks of it, it’s for good reason. Quiche Lorraine, an egg dish with tons of cheese, spinach, mushrooms, and ham, is a delectable breakfast as it is. (Did someone say heavy cream?) Sure, a traditional pie crust is perfectly fine, but Teigen takes it to the next level of amazing by baking the egg dish into a baguette “boat.”

“I started hollowing out a baguette, and I knew this was going to be a winner — I just felt it in my bones,” Teigen shares in her most recent Cravings blog, which doubles as a sneak peek from her book.

The baguette, she says, doesn’t just add the crunchiness you don’t get from a standard quiche; it also stays moist and fluffy while absorbing all the delectable flavors. But, before you run to the store for your bread, keep in mind not all loaves are created equal. Teigen recommends choosing a baguette with a firm outer crust for the best results (look for one that’s wider and shorter rather than longer and skinnier).

Whether you’re planning a brunch gathering or just looking to upgrade your before-work breakfast game, we have a feeling this creative take on a traditional quiche will be a regular part of your rotation.
