If you follow Chrissy Teigen on social, you know that she and her family (including husband John Legend) are bicoastal. But you may have also noticed that when they’re not on tour, they’re usually in their Los Angeles home. Turns out they noticed, too, and have put their NYC home on the market to turn their full attention to their L.A. property.

The best part about house listings is getting a really good peek inside without people in the way. Since Chrissy is an avid home cook and cookbook author, I couldn’t wait to get a glimpse at the kitchen. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!

The couple renovated the two penthouses over the years and had plans to join them for a multi-level home (gigantic by NYC standards). While they didn’t get around to properly combining them, they did put their touches on everything else, and that includes the open kitchen.

The centerpiece is a large kitchen island that practically glows. It’s topped with Cristallo white quartz (I know nothing about fancy stone, but it seems nice!) and has plenty of room for four barstools. Best of all, it has a gas cook range right in the middle. Behind are dark custom floor-to-ceiling Amuneal cabinets, with glass fronts along the top to show off special-occasion glassware. And don’t forget the Miele appliances and some very cool pendant lights.

I also spied a wet bar and large dining table on the terrace (the couple says they entertained there all the time) and a pretty spectacular wine cellar with glass sides under the stairs. I can almost see myself sitting in the living room with a homemade ragù slowly simmering on the stovetop as I gaze at my fine wines and ponder which one to open. Almost.

In case you’re looking, the home is located in the Brewster Carriage House in Nolita, a 19th-century landmark. The penthouses span almost 6,200 square feet and feature six bedrooms along with a 3,300-square foot private rooftop terrace.
