This protein-packed chocolate sea salt oatmeal from Fit Foodie Finds is a tremendously satisfying way to start the day. It’s rich, chocolatey, and exciting enough to tempt a person out of bed, even when it’s early. It’s packed with 29 grams of protein, which makes it an ideal breakfast for anybody trying to fit more protein into their diet.

This oatmeal contains flax seeds and chia seeds for antioxidants and fiber, almond butter to make it creamy and add some healthy fats, and cocoa powder and chocolate protein powder to make it taste rich and chocolatey without adding too much sugar.

All you have to do is cook all the ingredients together on the stovetop until the consistency starts to thicken. It’s easy and quick enough that you could make it in the morning and eat it right off the stove, but it should keep in the refrigerator for at least five days, so you can make a batch in advance and have it ready to eat when you wake up in the morning. If you portion it out into individual jars, it’s a quick way to meal-prep a week’s worth of healthful breakfasts.

A sprinkle of flaky sea salt makes this oatmeal even more delicious, but this would also be spectacular topped with fresh fruit like bananas, strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries. Coconut or chocolate chips are also a great addition that will keep every serving interesting.
