It’s been no secret lately how much we love pegboards. We love them in a drawer to organize dishes; we really love them on a wall to hold, well, anything; and now, we love them on the table! Just look at this wedding table centerpiece from Fabulously Designed, a luxury flower and events company based in Las Vegas and Southern California.

The idea is actually super simple (and affordable) to pull off: Have someone at your local hardware store cut a pegboard down to the length of your table. Set it on wooden blocks or bricks and put flower stems through the holes. If you need them to last a little more long-term, add those single stem water tubes (or use vases, if they’ll fit) and have them hide underneath the pegboard.

If you happen to be slightly skilled in the world of carpentry (read: you can measure and use a hammer), you might be up for a more challenging task. Maybe you can pull off something like this from Kelly, the creative genius behind Yes, Please and a guest blogger at 100 Layer Cake. She built a box out of particle board, poked flower stems through the pegboard’s holes, added the flower tubes, and dropped the board — flowers and all — to become the top of the box.

These can also be done with fake flowers (so you don’t have to worry about hiding the water sources).

Both ideas are so simple, yet so cute! It’s got us thinking: What else can pegboards be used for? Perhaps a cute lollipop holder? Tell us your ideas in the comments!
