I’m a tea person, and always have been, but there are certain days of the week (read: Mondays) that we all need a little kick in the pants. (As much as I love a comforting mug of steaming hot French Vanilla Bigelow, tea doesn’t always do the trick.)

After much trial and error with various types of coffee (French press, drip, iced, etc.), I’ve learned that cold brew is my preferred method. But not just any sort of cold brew — there’s one specific product that gives me that extra jolt, while helping me stay (kind of!) true to my tea-loving roots.

While there are tons of tools and contraptions that will help you make cold brew, these Chameleon Cold Brew Organic Coffee Pods are the method to my morning madness. What I love most about them is that they are, in essence, cold brew tea bags. Each box comes with 10 pods, and the starter kit even includes a Mason jar and lid.

All you have to do is steep one of these pods in a jar of water overnight (for up to eight hours) and you wake up to homemade cold brew the next morning.

The resulting brew is rich, smooth, and all the other words professional people throw out when talking about coffee. Chameleon makes a few other options for people who like cold brew, including a concentrate and pre-made bottles. Not only is my method cheaper (the concentrate is about the same price for 16 servings instead of 20), but I also like that I can use and reuse a large jar that allows room for ice and lots of milk (versus the pre-made bottles).
