If there’s anything millennials and Gen Z-ers can agree on, it’s that juice boxes — or, in this case, juice pouches — taste exactly like childhood. And what better time to enjoy a nostalgic and refreshing juice beverage than these last few weeks of summer? But if you’re hankering for a throwback drink — Capri Sun, to be exact — you’ll want to be sure to check out the Used By date first.

According to an August 12 press release, the well-known juice’s manufacturer, Kraft Heinz, has recalled nearly 5,760 cases of Capri Sun Wild Cherry Flavored Juice Blend. Apparently, a diluted cleaning solution was accidentally “introduced into a production line” at a Kraft Heinz factory.

Wondering if you’ve got some of the affected products on hand? Kraft Heinz said cases and packages of the 6.6-ounce Wild Cherry-flavored juice pouches with the “Best When Used By” date of June 25, 2023, are included in the recall. The manufacturer advises consumers to check their product labels and not consume potentially affected juice pouches.
