It’s the time of year for wobbly jellied cranberry sauce, complete with those tell-tale lines on the side from the can. You might love the nostalgia of it, or maybe you prefer to make homemade cranberry sauce.

Either way, I have found a recipe using this iconic seasonal canned good in a way we can all get behind: margaritas. As it turns out, this can of sweet and tart jellied cranberry sauce is the perfect base for a big batch of festive blended margaritas.
How to Make Cranberry Sauce Margaritas
- All you have to do is empty a can of jellied cranberry sauce into a blender. Then add 1 1/4 cups of tequila, 2/3 cup of lime juice (that’s about 5 limes), and 1/3 cup orange liqueur or triple sec.
- Blend it until smooth, then add about 4 cups of ice cubes. A few more pulses and you have the perfect blended margarita.
- Serve it up with a lime wedge or maybe even some whole cranberries for garnish. This makes about 8 margaritas, so it serves a crowd and is a great way to get the party started.
