Beyoncé and Jay-Z have finally settled on a spectacular place in the Hamptons. It has windows like you wouldn’t believe, dueling fireplaces in a single room, and rich woodwork — it looks like an overall amazing retreat for this family of five when they can catch a moment to get away. It sold for a cool $26 million.

But I couldn’t help but notice as I was flipping through photos of their home that their kitchen left something to be desired. I had higher hopes for Bey!

Yes, we’re completely aware that many of their meals will probably be eaten out, catered, or made by an in-house chef. And for feeding a family of five, it’s a great space to work. But we don’t see this house only feeding a family of two adults and three children — we see it full of family, friends, and gatherings with those they love and for that, this kitchen will need a second dishwasher.

The space has a sub-zero refrigerator and freezer, six burner stove and double oven, and plenty of lower cabinets, although there are no uppers or open shelving that we can see. So all food lives down low or in the fridge. So if someone’s going to use the space to entertain, you’re going to have more dishes than one dishwasher can hold. Going through a renovation in my own home and entertaining often, I even considered installing a second dishwasher — and I’m not Queen Bee!

Either way, it’s a beautiful home to own, and although the kitchen isn’t an after-thought, it doesn’t seem like it boasts many of the same prestigious details that the other rooms do. What are your thoughts? I mean, if you can even form words after checking out those windows. Swoon.
