Q: One of my favorite Thai dishes is a salad with Tiger Cry Beef, or Crying Tiger Beef. I have been looking for recipes so I can start making this dish at home, but everything I look at is different and I'm not sure which way to go.
The dish I love from a local Thai restaurant is pretty acidic and quite a bit spicy, but I am not great at isolating flavors so I can pick the recipe that would be closest.
I have seen recipes that use fish sauce, oyster sauce, and soy sauce as their base with rice wine vinegar, lime juice, and lemon juice as options for acid. Can you help? What is a good standard recipe for Tiger Cry Beef?
