Q: My deep love affair with instant oatmeal recently ended and I'm now left with about 12 packets of the stuff. I know that granola is traditionally made from rolled oats, but I have to wonder if I shortened the cooking time, would I be able to transform my stockpile of instant oatmeal into granola?
Would I lose that deeply nutty, awesomely crunchy bite that makes homemade granola so good?
