These No-Bake Butterfinger-Stuffed Gingerbread Men Are the Easiest Treats You’ll Make This Week
If there is one category of food I could happily eat every day for the rest of my life, it would be anything “stuffed.” Some of the world’s most delicious foods fall into the stuffed category (dumplings, ravioli, empanadas, Turducken!), and today we get to add to that pantheon of stuffed delicacies. It’s a holiday creation that blew my mind when I came across it.
This gorgeous “Butterfinger” stuffed gingerbread man concoction is from blogger Dani Breiner (@danishealthyeats on Instagram) and it’s got a bit of everything good in it. It starts with a mock Butterfinger filling she makes with peanut butter, maple syrup, and a sweetened cornflake cereal. Then that layer is sandwiched between two layers of chocolate to create the stuffed treat — which, in honor of the holidays, Dani has done in a silicone gingerbread man mold. Although I am now just realizing that you could also make them in a fluted muffin cup to create the perfect child of a Reese’s cup and a Butterfinger.
Dani’s gingerbread men are another point in my argument that stuffed foods make perfect party foods. These gingerbread men would be perfect on a holiday cookie plate alongside Jesse Szewczyk’s caramel-stuffed amaretti cookies. They could be a nibble during a holiday soirée where you also serve Perry Santanachote’s cream cheese stuffed mushrooms. And obviously, no one would mind them as the final course to a dinner party where you’ve also served my all-time favorite stunner of a dinner party main dish, Dorie Greenspan’s pumpkin stuffed with everything good.
Long story short? Make these Butterfinger-stuffed gingerbread men and enjoy your holidays.
