There are some amazing Bundt cake recipes out there (hello, One-Bowl Vanilla Bundt Cake with Chocolate Glaze!), but unless you’re a frequent baker, you may not have a Bundt pan on hand to try them. Jocelyn Delk Adams, our go-to for the best Southern-inspired desserts, understands that and has come up with the easiest Bundt pan substitute ever.

The popular founder of Grandbaby Cakes recently posted an Instagram video to demonstrate her simple hack. She took a round cake pan, placed an empty can in the middle, filled the can with uncooked rice to weigh it down, and sprayed it all with non-sticking cooking spray. That’s it! She then poured her cake batter in and it was ready to bake. Brilliant!

Jocelyn has come up with some pretty great hacks before, like using 7UP in pound cake and brown butter frosting in carrot cake, but we think this one, well, takes the cake.

We appreciate that she’s come up with a solution for those of us who don’t have a pan for every occasion and that anyone can now try her scrumptious Cream Cheese Pound Cake, using basic kitchen items.
