It’s the most wonderful time of the year: the time when we can enjoy hot chocolate, eat enough snickerdoodle cookies to last us a year, and watch way too many cheesy Christmas-themed movies to count. Though you probably have your list of movies lined up for the holiday season, Food Network is jumping into the mix again for another year — but this time, it’s with two holiday rom-coms of its own. And, one of them stars Bobby Flay.

Titled One Delicious Christmas, the new film finds Bobby Flay playing a famous food critic on whose opinion the future of a local restaurant hinges. The movie stars Switched At Birth actress Vanessa Marano as a young business owner named Abby, who has just recently inherited the Haven hotel — and its restaurant, of course — from her parents.

In an effort to impress Flay’s character, Tom Kingsley, Abby enlists chef Preston — played by Alex Mallari Jr. — to help pull off “the most important Christmas dinner Haven has ever had.” Naturally, Abby and Preston clash over their methods and his desire to flip the restaurant’s menu on its head. As a result, sparks will fly (as I’m sure you guessed) and the characters will get to “happily ever after” just in time for the Big Day.

Bobby Flay isn’t the only Food Network star getting in on the action though. For its second foodie Christmas love story, the station tapped Duff Goldman to play a renowned baker and host of a baking competition. That may not be as much of a stretch as Bobby’s character, but Duff might play a slightly more integral role in the storyline.

In A Gingerbread Christmas, Hazel Stanley (played by Tiya Sircar) is a disenchanted rising architect who goes home to Chicago to find that her father’s bakery isn’t doing so great. She also “finds unexpected romance with local contractor James Meadows (Marc Bendavid), a family friend who is helping to restore the bakery,” the film’s official description explains.

As the two begin figuring out how to save the family business, Hazel decides to enter the “25th Annual Christmas Bakeoff,” hosted by Duff’s character Mark Clemmons aka Chicago’s Cooking King. The contest offers a chance to win a $100,000 prize that would certainly help Hazel save the bakery. It also gives her plenty of quality time with James, who declares his love for her by the end of the trailer.

This isn’t the first year Food Network has created this type of conent. Last year, the station made its holiday love story debut with The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond, starring in Candy Coated Christmas. Discovery+ is also releasing scripted holiday content from HGTV this year: Home Town Makeover’s Erin and Ben Napier star in A Christmas Open House; and Hillary Farr from Love It Or List It makes her rom-com debut in Designing Christmas.

All of the new movies will be available to stream on November 11 on Discovery+, but in the meantime, you can check out the trailer for One Delicious Christmas below.
