Blythe’s Light-Filled Kitchen Sanctuary

Here’s a lovely vintage kitchen from Mission Dolores, San Francisco — we love the color of this kitchen, as well as its vintage details. The owner, Blythe, is a designer who has worked extensively on restaurant interiors, so she is an expert at making a cook’s space both beautiful and functional!

Blythe says that she is inspired by an “urban gypsy” aesthetic. She says to “create space out of things you adore,” and to enjoy the eclecticism that comes from objects and colors accumulated through life experiences. In her kitchen she has put a lot of the care and thoughtfulness she values so highly into the colors and the small details she displays. She has her grandmother’s mermaid platter on display, and stones she picked up in her travels.

We love the softness of the color and the light in the kitchen, and all those vintage details. It looks like a great place to cook!
