Deal Alert! You Can Subscribe to Hulu for Just $1.99 Per Month (and Get to Watch More Alton)
It’s Cyber Week! Check out all of our Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales coverage, and be sure to sign up for our new Cook/Shop newsletter to keep up with the latest sales and deals.
In the sea of Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals, Hulu has one you’ll enjoy all year long. Today through Monday, December 2, if you’ve never subscribed to Hulu before, you can sign up for a basic plan for just $1.99 per month.
The same plan usually costs $5.99 per month, which adds up to about $72 per year. With the special Cyber Monday deal, your year of Hulu would cost about $24, meaning you save about $48.
On Hulu, you can access Alton Brown’s shows Good Eats: The Return and Cutthroat Kitchen. A basic plan does mean breaks for ads. (The ad-free plan costs $11.99 per month, and it has no special Cyber Monday discount this year.)
The special $1.99 deal is only for new subscribers, so if you try to cancel your plan and re-subscribe at the lower rate, you’ll be out of luck. Those who signed up for last year’s Hulu Cyber Monday deal are also ineligible this time around. But if you’ve always wanted to try Hulu and couldn’t justify the $5.99 price for a subscription service with ads, now might be the right time to try it. Sign up or learn more here.
There’s also another new way to subscribe to Hulu this year. Disney’s newly launched streaming platform, Disney+, offers a bundle with Hulu and ESPN+ for $12.99 per month. You can sign up or learn more here.
